Cooling aromatic pain relief gel – for migraines

March 18th, 2017

Today I’d like to show you how to create a ‘migraine relaxation aroma gel’, using a mix of essential oils that slow nerve action and contract the blood vessels. I find the ‘chill’ approach to be the most effective in dealing with migraine symptoms, so we should use Aloe vera gel as the base material as it works quickly on pain.

Materials:

  • Aloe Vera gel (15ml)
  • Hakka (3 drops)
  • Rosemary (2 drops)
  • German chamomile (2 drops)
  • Bergamot (2 drops)

Put the Aloe Vera gel into a glass container and mix with all the essential oils. Use it soon after making.

Apply it to your eyes, forehead (on the hairline) and temples. The cool feeling will lessen the pain. It is even more beneficial if you apply it alongside an ice pack or cold compress.

During migraines, please try to rest as much as possible until the pain subsides.
