Rikyu will be operating a limited service once we’ve reopened.
This is to minimize the health risks and protect both our clients and ourselves, including those we may come into further contact with such as family.
Our main aim is SAFETY, and to give you the optimum experience at our salon.
In relation with COVID-19 reopening procedures, the following statement is to ensure our safety measures are adhered to.

How are we operating? – CLEAN and SECURE

1. We will clean the room before and after the treatment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. All equipment and towels will be sterilised.

2. We will use personal protective equipment (PPE), including face masks, face shields, disposable gloves and aprons. 

3. However, disposable gloves will be removed during the treatment, as we believe a hands-on treatment should be performed with bare hands for full therapeutic benefits. If you prefer us to wear gloves throughout the treatment you are more than welcome, but please let us know in advance.

4. Our therapist is going to contact you by email about your concerns for your treatment prior to your session. In this way, we can communicate with you to understand and arrange your bespoke treatment to meet your demands. This will minimize talking during the session for your safety, allowing you to relax on the day.

5. Your therapist will confirm with you that they have no symptoms in relation with COVID-19 on your booking day. 

6. We will ask some screening questions when booking, and ask you to sign a disclaimer upon arrival.

We will ensure that not only is our working environment clean, but is as safe as possible from COVID-19.

We will endeavour to do our best to minimise the spread of infection and perform safely, while still giving our clients as secure and optimal a treatment as possible.
