Vitamin A is known to be an essential vitamin for the skin, and has the function of improving the production of skin cells in the stratum corneum, which becomes thinner with age.

According to Environ’s founder, Dr. Fernandez, it can take about a week for Vitamin A taken orally from food to reach the skin effectively. However, it can take only around three hours for topically-applied vitamins to penetrate into the skin.

Although Vitamin C works to improve the skin function as does Vitamin A,  it is especially an essential vitamin for pigmentation problems.

Environ contains Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, which is a fat-soluble form of vitamin C. Unlike water-soluble vitamin C (ascorbic acid), it is hard to oxidize, and has a stable structure to act effectively on the skin.

Vitamin does not exert its effect by itself, but by working together with other vitamins it enhances each effect to act on the skin.

The cause of skin aging is only around 10% from genetic reasons. The remaining 90% is due to free radicals caused by external stimulation factors (80% of which is due to photo-damage).
Other causes of free radicals include smoking, air pollution, stress and lack of sleep.
Environ contains the following antioxidant components, in addition to vitamins C and E, to support aging skin care:

Environ has 5 different levels of cream in their range. The concentration and type of vitamin A varies in each bottle.

The types of Vitamin A contained are Retinyl Palmitate and Retinyl Acetate.

Retinyl Palmitate is the mildest form of Vitamin A. Over 80% of this vitamin naturally occurring in the skin is in this form, and it is the most familiar Vitamin A to the skin. It is converted into retinol by being taken into the skin, and exerts the action of vitamin A as retinol acid.※

Retinyl Acetate is a form of vitamin A that is abundantly present in the liver, and has a stronger action than Retinyl Palmitate. It is proven to be particularly effective for improving the appearance of fine wrinkles on the skin.

Environ doesn’t include Retinol in this cream.

Retinol is the most potent form of Vitamin A, but it is very delicate and needs special care in cosmetic production to act effectively on the skin.
Environ offers separate bottles with 3 levels of Retinol concentration serum as a booster, which can be added to a cream for those who need more Vitamin A.

The main principle of Environ creams is to increase vitamin A step by step from each bottle. Your level should be adjusted according to your skin condition and concerns.

You can start from the lowest concentration, and gradually add more vitamin A to the skin to give you constant Vitamin A activity.
